Warranty Information

All products on the Tecnosell.com website are always covered by the Manufacturer's Warranty. The 24-month warranty pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 24/02 applies to any product that shows a conformity defect, provided that it is used correctly, in accordance with its intended use and the technical documentation supplied. This warranty, in compliance with Legislative Decree No. 24/92, is reserved only for private Consumers (a natural person who purchases goods for purposes unrelated to their professional activity, or makes the purchase without providing a VAT number reference in the order form. For customers who provide a VAT number, the warranty lasts 12 months). In case of a conformity defect, Tecnosell will, at no cost to the Customer, restore the conformity of the product through repair/replacement, up to contract termination. The replacement or repair times depend exclusively on the manufacturer.

CONDITIONS TO BENEFIT FROM THE WARRANTY

  1. If repair is requested under warranty, the purchaser must ship the product to our premises complete with its original packaging, all accessories included with the product, including protective films, cables, and anything else originally in the box.
  2. The repair request is subject to the purchaser providing proof of purchase with a tax document issued by Tecnosell.com.
  3. The customer must verify that the product received matches what was ordered. In case of discrepancies, they must promptly notify Tecnosell within 8 days of receipt. Later complaints will not be considered.
  4. Tecnosell does not guarantee IP67/68 protection. If the manufacturer guarantees IP67/68 protection, only the manufacturer’s warranty applies.

WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS

The warranty covers manufacturing and software defects. Proper functioning of the operating system and accessory software is guaranteed only with certified applications. The warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, drops, or impacts. If the manufacturer’s service center finds that defects are due to improper use (typically software modifications, impacts, or liquid ingress) or finds no defect at all, inspection costs may be charged to us and passed on to the customer along with collection and return costs. Tecnosell does not guarantee IP67/68 protection. If the manufacturer guarantees IP67/68 protection, only the manufacturer’s warranty applies.

Locked Devices

Devices sent for warranty service must be unlocked: no password of any kind should be required to access the device, and it must not be linked to any account. It is possible to provide account and password in a note attached to the device, but it is not recommended. Normally, Tecnosell cannot verify whether a device is locked; devices are sent to the manufacturers’ service network and, if locked or otherwise inaccessible, they will be returned to us. This requires contacting the customer for credentials and a second shipment to service. These additional shipments are not included in warranty service and will be charged to the customer.

Data Stored on Devices

Service centers almost always reset devices, erasing all data. Consider any data on the devices you send us as lost. Do not forget to back up your data before sending your devices.

Display Damage

Display damage is divided into two types: cracks/scratches and display defects.

  • Scratches and cracks are almost always repaired at cost. It is very rare for a phone or laptop to arrive with a cracked or scratched display. If you receive a product with a cracked or scratched display, the defect must be reported immediately within 24 hours of receipt and the product must not be used. The phone must be sent to us for the manufacturer’s inspection. If the frame shows dents, the damage will be attributed to the user. In all cases, it is solely up to the manufacturer to decide whether the damage is due to a defect or user negligence.
  • Display defects are handled like any other hardware defect. They may appear after use, typically color distortion, non-functioning screen areas, or colored lines. Dead or defective pixels are considered a defect only if more than 3. If liquid ingress is the cause, repair will be charged to the user.

Liquid Ingress

Some products declare IP67/68 protection (resistant to splashes or immersion). We do not guarantee any product against liquid ingress. Some products have seals and covers making them resistant, but correct usage requires attention that is difficult for an average user. Leaving a cover slightly open is very easy. In case of liquid ingress, service may attribute it to misuse or use beyond specifications (excessive depth or immersion time), and the user will not be able to prove otherwise. In such cases, only the manufacturer’s support applies.

Wearable Parts

Some product parts are subject to wear and are covered by a limited warranty of 12 months, sometimes 6. These include smartphone and laptop batteries, hinges, covers, and power supplies. BlackView offers 1 month warranty for battery, cable, and charger. In general, our warranty on wearable parts follows that of the manufacturers. For reference, see (not exhaustive):

Battery capacity reduction is absolutely normal and physiological. It may also result from excessive use of fast chargers. Some smartphones are sold with only a fast charger, which promotes the product but also inevitably damages the battery.

EUROPEAN WARRANTY

Purchasing a product with a European Warranty means that the product is original and covered by a 2-year warranty as required by consumer law. Manuals and documentation are provided in multiple languages; if Italian documentation is not included, we will provide a free electronic version. The warranty covers the same damages for the same duration as an Italian Warranty. For some manufacturers (excluding Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, LG, Nokia, for which there is no difference between European or Italian Warranty), assistance is provided through the specialized service centers listed on the manufacturer’s website, which may not be located in Italy, depending on the reported defect. As an example, but not limited to this case, Xiaomi products may require that, if assistance is needed, the product be shipped to us and we will forward it to the foreign distributor. Shipping costs from the customer to our warehouse and from our warehouse back to the customer are at the customer’s expense. Shipping costs from our warehouse to the distributor and back are at our expense.

ITALIAN WARRANTY

Purchasing a product with an Italian Warranty means that the product is original and covered by a 2-year warranty as required by consumer law. Manuals and documentation are provided in Italian. Assistance is provided directly by the manufacturer’s authorized service centers located throughout Italy, and by us for matters related to the conformity warranty.

INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

Purchasing a product with an International Warranty means that the product is original and covered by a 2-year warranty as required by consumer law. These products are usually imports, meaning the manufacturer has authorized their commercialization only in certain countries. Manuals and documentation are provided in multiple languages; if Italian documentation is not included, we will provide a free electronic version (if available). In case of malfunction, the product must be shipped to our headquarters for repair; alternatively, it may need to be shipped to a service center in the seller’s country, with much longer waiting times.

APPLE WARRANTY (ITALIAN & EUROPEAN)

Purchasing a product with an Apple Warranty means that all products are covered by a 2-year legal warranty under European regulations. During the first year, warranty service is provided by Apple; during the second year, it is provided by the seller. This means that if a product is purchased from an Apple Store, Apple’s online store, or an APR (Apple Premium Reseller), Apple becomes both manufacturer and seller, and you are entitled to the full 2-year legal warranty directly from Apple in both the first and second year. Apple’s one-year warranty (valid for everyone during the first year) covers defects occurring after delivery and includes additional services not available in the second year, even when Apple acts as the seller. These services include phone support (free for the first 90 days), assistance at Apple Stores or authorized service providers, carry-in or mail-in service, and international coverage.

The second year of legal warranty applies only to private consumers; if the purchase is made with a VAT number, the legal warranty is 12 months. The 2-year legal warranty covers defects present at the time of delivery, known as manufacturing defects.

If an Apple product is purchased from a reseller, Apple remains solely the manufacturer and not the seller. In this case, warranty service during the first year is provided directly by Apple, while during the second year you must contact the seller at any of their sales locations if they have more than one. If the seller operates under a franchise model, you must contact the specific store where the product was purchased.
